Microsoft Teams: Voting and archiving questions in Teams Q&A MC844923 Published Aug 1, 2024

Microsoft Teams is introducing a feature that allows organizers and co-organizers of meetings, webinars, and town halls to enable attendees to upvote significant questions and declutter by archiving questions from the main Q&A feed.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 398445.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early-September 2024 and expect to complete by late September 2024.

Microsoft Teams devices: App-only updates for Android-based Teams devices MC844920 Published Aug 1, 2024

With this rollout, updates for Android-based Teams devices will become more flexible. All software components (Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Authenticator, Company Portal, and Teams Admin agent) will be available for updates as stand-alone applications. This rollout makes it easier and faster for the devices to receive the latest features, fixes, and performance improvements.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early August 2024 and expect to complete by early September 2024.

General Availability (GCC): We will begin rolling out late September 2024 and expect to complete by late October 2024.

General Availability (GCC High): We will begin rolling out late October 2024 and expect to complete by late November 2024.

Microsoft Teams: Videos in town halls will display without cropping MC841009 Published Jul 29, 2024

Before this rollout, in Microsoft Teams town halls, the videos that organizers and presenters share may appear cropped and display in a "fill to frame" view (that may cut important parts of the video) for attendees. To ensure a proper viewing experience for attendees, this rollout will ensure all videos shared in town halls will retain a 16:9 aspect ratio and a "fit to frame" view for attendees, with no cropping. Also, when content and video is shared, videos will appear in the center of the video section to the attendees (instead of in the upper right of the video section).

Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out mid-August 2024 and expect to complete by mid-August 2024.

General Availability (Worldwide and GCC): We will begin rolling late August 2024 and expect to complete by late August 2024.
