Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android: New local pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) controls MC1043473 Published Mar 29, 2025

Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android will soon support local pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) controls.

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out late April 2025 and expect to complete by early May 2025.

Microsoft Teams: Standard and Basic licensed Teams rooms on Windows in the Teams admin center portal MC1041960 Published Mar 26, 2025

We will be transitioning all Teams Rooms on Windows devices, irrespective of their licenses, to the Teams Rooms Pro management portal to meet users' needs for a one-stop destination to configure, monitor, and manage Teams rooms devices. This change delivers a unified device management and admin portal experience.

Users currently using the Teams admin center (TAC) will have device management functionalities within the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal. Teams Rooms on Windows devices will not be available in Teams admin center after June 1, 2025.

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High): We will begin rolling out May 1, 2025, and expect to complete in early May 2025.

 

Microsoft Teams: New calendar feature in opt-out experience MC1041464 Published Mar 26, 2025

The new Microsoft Teams calendar combines rich productivity features and the latest innovations, like Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Places, to help users collaborate seamlessly from anywhere. The new calendar is designed to be familiar and reliable, as it’s one unified calendar that works across new Outlook for Windows, Outlook on the web, Places, and Teams. With this update, users will see the "New calendar" toggle at the top right of the calendar app in Teams. New calendar is on by default, and users can toggle it off to return to the classic calendar.

Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out early April 2025 and expect to complete by late April 2025.

Microsoft Teams for iOS/Android: New location sharing settings for emergency calls and more MC1041451 Published Mar 26, 2025

This message applies to Microsoft Teams for iOS/Android.

Microsoft is updating its policies regarding the sharing of user location data to enhance privacy, improve data security, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards. To enhance transparency and user control, Teams will introduce a new location consent experience that gives users the choice of when and how Teams can use their location data specifically, the SSID (service set identifier) and the BSSID (basic service set identifier).

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out early April 2025 and expect to complete by mid-April 2025.

Microsoft Teams: Enhanced spell checking will support multiple languages MC1040545 Published Mar 24, 2025

Coming soon for Microsoft Teams: Enhanced spell checking with multi-language support. This feature will help users communicate more effectively with fewer spelling errors.

Viva Pulse – Admin Export all tenant and report data from Pulse MC1041966 Published Mar 26, 2025

Previously there was no way for admins to be able to export out data from Pulse. Now, admins will be able to export out all tenant and report data from Pulse to a .csv. An admin can only have one export job active at a time.

Microsoft Viva Pulse: Admins can configure access to Pulse templates for Microsoft 365 Copilot licensed users MC1041957 Published Mar 26, 2025

As communicated in MC948979 Microsoft Viva Pulse experience will be included with Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription (December 2024), Microsoft Viva Pulse authors can use new templates specific to Microsoft 365 Copilot Readiness, Adoption, and Impact to measure employee sentiment around their organization's Copilot adoption. These templates will be available as part of your Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription as well. Based on the customer feedback, this rollout introduces the ability for admins to configure who in their tenant will have access to this feature.

A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required to use this feature.

This message applies to Pulse for Windows desktop, Pulse for Mac desktop, Pulse for the web, and Pulse for iOS/Android.

General Availability (Worldwide): We began rolling out late March 2025 and expect to complete by mid-April 2025.

Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Engage: We are excited to announce the launch of the new Communications Dashboard designed to inform and accelerate execution across the communications lifecycle. The dashboard is accessible to corporate communicators, network admins and higher-level roles from the left panel in Engage.

Viva Learning surfaces will be personalized based on user-selected skills and inferred skills derived from the user's role and activity within Microsoft Graph. This ensures that the learning content is tailored to each user's unique needs and professional context.

Microsoft Viva Glint: Some language codes will retire from translation services MC1041428 Published Mar 26, 2025

Effective with Release 83 (April 10, 2025), we will update some language localizations and codes in Microsoft Viva Glint to better reflect current standards and improve the user experience.

A subscription plan for Microsoft Viva Suite or Viva Glint are required for using Viva Glint.
