With this rollout, we are delivering automatic location updates with building details on bookable desks and bring your own device (BYOD) rooms to make it easier for users to keep their workplace presence up to date and connect with others in the office.

To address this, we’ve streamlined the chats, teams, and channels experience to make it easier for users to stay on top of what matters most.

Introducing Meeting Prep for Financial Services (Preview) MC920310 Published Oct 28, 2024

We announced the launch of Meeting Prep for Financial Services as public preview in Microsoft. We’re proud to be partnering with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) to bring you this new app, designed to revolutionize how investment bankers prepare for meetings.

Microsoft Teams admin center: Admins can disable the ability to send messages in meeting chat before and after a meeting MC920298 Published Oct 28, 2024

Coming soon for Microsoft Teams admin center: For the existing Meeting chat control, we will add two new options that allow admins to disable meeting chat before and after a meeting, In-meeting only for everyone and In-meeting only except anonymous users.

Microsoft Copilot 365 in Viva Glint will support the summarization of employee survey comments MC922629 Published Oct 31, 2024

Starting in November 2024, Microsoft Copilot 365 in Glint will support the summarization of employee survey comments. Copilot in Viva Glint is designed to answer questions about your survey comments, acting as your partner for all comment analysis. It can summarize comments, identify key themes, provide summaries by demographics and items, and highlight actions employees are requesting. A Viva Glint license is required to use this feature.

Microsoft Viva Insights: Users can request delegate access MC922625 Published Oct 31, 2024

Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Insights: Users will be able to request delegate access from a manager. This message applies to the Viva app on the web and the Viva Insights app in Teams for Windows desktop, Teams for Mac desktop, Teams on the web, and Teams for iOS/Android.

Before this rollout, Insights managers can assign delegate access to members of their organization. After this rollout, if a manager accepts the delegate access request, the requestor will have the same view of organizational insights as the manager does.

Microsoft Viva Engage: Mute conversations in feeds and digests MC922624 Published Oct 31, 2024

Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Engage: Network admins and corporate communicators will be able to use the new Mute conversations feature to remove individual conversation threads from the Home Feed and email digests.

This feature is part of Engage’s suite of new moderation and digital safety capabilities, following the release of View-only mode and Mute user for network in July-August 2024.

Muting applies to all Engage platforms: Engage on the web, the Engage app in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook, Engage apps for iOS and Android, and Microsoft SharePoint embeds. Network admins and corporate communicators may only mute from the Engage on the web and Teams and Outlook apps. The muted status will appear in all platforms.

Microsoft Viva Engage: New features for Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption community MC921115 Published Oct 29, 2024

Coming soon to the Microsoft Viva Engage adoption community for Microsoft 365 Copilot, admins will have access to new suggested content covering timely Copilot updates and best practices and the ability to easily upload documents and leverage AI to generate Q&A pairs using Answers Intelligent Importer.

What is the Microsoft Viva Engage adoption community for Copilot?

Since general availability in August 2024 (referenced in MC7841560), network admins and corporate communicators can enable a new type of community specifically built to facilitate the rollout and adoption of Copilot in their organizations. This community can bring employees together in a community of practice where employees can ask questions, seek support from both their peers and IT admins, share best practices, and learn more from articles and quick tips on how best to use Copilot.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late October 2024 and expect to complete by mid-November 2024.

 

Microsoft Viva Engage: Top questions in your communities MC920301 Published Oct 28, 2024

Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Engage: A new Top questions feature to highlight the most-viewed questions in a community over the last 90 days. This feature helps community members quickly find the most relevant and popular questions. It is accessible to all community members in their respective communities.
