Microsoft Teams: Start/stop recording on Teams Rooms on Windows MC884009 Published Sep 5, 2024

Coming soon to Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows: Users can start or stop recording meetings directly from a Teams Rooms on Windows device. This feature requires a Teams Rooms Pro license and Teams Rooms on Windows app version 5.2.

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out mid-October 2024 and expect to complete by end of October 2024.

Microsoft Teams admin center: Deploy frontline teams with flexible membership MC883199 Published Sep 4, 2024

Note: If you are not using frontline worker functionality, you can ignore this message.

Coming soon in the Microsoft Teams admin center: Admins will be able to deploy location-based frontline teams where team membership is automatically managed, and team owners can also add frontline workers or remove them from teams. This rollout will allow admins to take advantage of dynamic rules to keep teams updated as members join and leave the organization and also give team owners the autonomy to manage membership at the team level.

Microsoft Viva: Design ideas in Viva Amplify MC884007 Published Sep 5, 2024

Coming soon for Microsoft Viva Amplify: Authors editing sections in the Amplify main draft or the Amplify distribution channel for Microsoft SharePoint can now use Design ideas to rearrange and reformat their image, text sections, and the banner webpart. The selected designs for these sections are displayed in Outlook and Teams according to the channel specific render capabilities.
