Coming soon for Microsoft Teams: An enhanced
agent engagement experience in Chats and Channels.
Some Teams users in your organization may see a
new experience for engaging with agents in Chats and Channels. This new feature
will be available to a randomized subset of Teams users as an experiment to
collect data and feedback before a broader rollout.
This message applies to Teams for Windows
desktop, Teams for Mac desktop, and Teams for the web.
Targeted Release (Worldwide): We will begin
rolling out in early June 2025 and expect to complete in late June 2025.
We will communicate the plan for General
Availability in a future post.
Microsoft Teams Premium: Branding will extend
to town halls and webinars MC1092431

We’re expanding the availability of Microsoft
Teams Premium branding to include town halls and webinars. This enhancement
enables organizers to deliver polished, on-brand experiences across more event
types—strengthening brand affinity and engagement from the moment attendees
join.
This feature requires a Teams Premium license.
This message applies to Teams for Windows
desktop, Teams for the web, and Teams for iOS/Android.
General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High,
DoD): We began rolling out late May 2025 and expect to complete by mid-June
2025.
Microsoft Teams: New audit logs for Give
control, Take control, and Screensharing MC1090698

With this rollout, admins will be able to
access detailed audit logs for the Give control, Take control, and
screensharing features in Microsoft Teams. These logs will provide
comprehensive information, including the names and timestamps of the individuals
involved in each action. The logs will indicate who initiated or received
control of a screensharing session and who started the screensharing session,
along with the corresponding timestamps. Further, the logs will indicate who
took control, and gave control and the timestamps of these actions. This new
feature ensures greater transparency and accountability for all control and
screensharing activities.
This message applies to meetings, webinars, and
town halls in Teams for Windows desktop, Teams for Mac desktop, Teams for the
web, and Teams for iOS/Android. Note: Give and Take control are not supported
in town-halls, webinars and Teams for iOS/Android.

Microsoft Teams: Teams Rooms Pro Management

Teams Pro Management service and portal will be generally available. You will
be able to use the remote device management and analytics features of the
solution while meeting high security and privacy standards.

Microsoft Teams: Enhanced peripheral data in
Pro Management portal reports for BYOD spaces MC1090689

We’re adding new peripheral health reporting
capabilities to the Pro Management portal, enabling admins to proactively
monitor device issues in bring your own device (BYOD) rooms and desks.
These reports help identify when peripherals
are faulty, missing, moved, or undetectable by a PC—allowing admins to take
action before users report problems. Reports for rooms require a Teams Shared
Devices license. Desk reporting is currently in public preview.

Teams Town hall screen management privileges in
Teams Rooms on Windows MC1090688

We're introducing enhanced presenter
capabilities for Teams Rooms on Windows in Microsoft Teams Town Halls. When a
Teams Room is assigned as a co-organizer or presenter, it can now start or end
the event, manage what attendees see, and promote attendees to presenters. This
update helps ensure a smoother, more organized event experience—especially in
large-scale or hybrid meetings. This feature is available with Teams Rooms Pro.

Prompt categories will be available in
Microsoft Copilot Dashboard in Microsoft Viva Insights on the web to help you
understand key Copilot use cases for your organization. In Microsoft Copilot
Chat (work), which is grounded in work data, these prompt categories will
include Ask and find, Catch up, Draft and brainstorm, and Other. These metrics
will be added to the metrics library in the advanced insights app.

Microsoft Viva Engage: Manage GDPR requests
through the Engage admin center MC1092456

We’re making it easier for admins to manage
GDPR data subject requests in Microsoft Viva Engage.
The Remove User feature—previously available in
the legacy Microsoft Yammer admin center—is being renamed and relocated to the
Microsoft Engage admin center. After this rollout, the feature will be called
Manage GDPR data subject requests and will continue to support GDPR compliance
by allowing verified admins and network admins to fulfill data subject requests
directly from the new location.
This change applies to Engage on the web and
Engage in Microsoft Teams (on Windows desktop, on Mac desktop, and on the web)

Microsoft Viva Goals: New Data export feature MC1092430

We’re introducing a new data export capability
in Microsoft Viva Goals that enables organizational and team admins to export
goal-related data. This feature enhances data portability and supports deeper
analysis and reporting. Admins will be able to extract and analyze goal data
more efficiently, supporting compliance, reporting, and integration with other
tools.

Microsoft Viva Engage: Copilot adoption
community now available to all tenants MC1090697

We’re excited to announce that the Copilot
adoption community is now available to all customer tenants, no Copilot license
required. Previously, this community template was only available to networks
with at least one Copilot license. This update removes that barrier, enabling
more organizations to prepare for and support Copilot adoption.
What is the Microsoft Viva Engage adoption
community for M365 Copilot? Since GA in August 2024, this community has helped
organizations facilitate the rollout and adoption of Copilot. It enables
employees to ask questions, share best practices, and learn from curated
content and peer support, all in one place.

Admin Toggle to enable/disable "Mark
Complete" feature in Viva Learning MC1090694

We’re introducing a new setting in Viva
Learning that allows learners to manually mark a course as completed when the
content provider does not send completion signals. Admins will now have the
ability to enable or disable this “Mark complete” feature from the Viva
Learning admin settings page.
This feature will be generally available in
production environment in the second week of June 2025.
