Microsoft Teams: The Discover Feed will only
be shown to users with more than five channels MC1066160
Published May 1, 2025
We will update how the Discover
Feed appears in Microsoft Teams to ensure it’s helpful and relevant for
every user. After this rollout, the feed will be shown to users who are part of
more than five channels (including hidden channels). This change will help to
ensure the Discover Feed includes meaningful updates and conversations and
avoids showing an empty or low-activity feed. As always, we’re continuing to
evolve the Teams experience based on user feedback and engagement.

Users will have the capability to customize
their keyboard shortcuts in Microsoft Teams. This feature update empowers users
to modify existing shortcuts and assign a key combination of their preference.
Through the keyboard shortcuts dialog, users can easily customize their
shortcuts by selecting a shortcut, entering a new key combination, and saving
the changes. This enhancement enables users to choose their preferred keys for
frequently used shortcuts, thereby eliminating the necessity to remember the
default key combinations. This feature is designed to enhance user efficiency
and streamline workflow by providing a more personalized experience.

Live captions copying disabled for Teams
meetings MC1065053
Published Apr 29, 2025
We’re rolling out a small update to help
enhance meeting content protection in Microsoft Teams. To better support
organizations with compliance and privacy needs, Live Captions will now be
view-only during meetings. This means you can continue to follow along with
captions in real time - but without the ability to copy text directly from the
caption pane. This change helps prevent sensitive meeting content from being
copied and shared unintentionally — especially now that captions can be
scrolled to view the full meeting conversation. It adds an extra layer of
content protection for organizations that need to manage information shared
during live meetings.
Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out
early June 2025 and expect to complete by mid-June 2025.
General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will
begin rolling out mid-June 2025 and expect to complete by late June 2025.

Microsoft Teams: New sensitivity labels for
Microsoft Loop components MC1064352

Coming soon: Sensitivity labels for Microsoft
Loop components in Microsoft Teams messages: Users will be able to set, apply,
and view sensitivity labels to classify and protect content in Loop components
shared in messages, based on its sensitivity level. These labels help
organizations comply with data privacy and security regulations by managing and
protecting sensitive data, restricting access to authorized personnel only. The
sensitivity labels enforce policies such as encryption, access control, and content
marking to ensure appropriate handling of sensitive information.
