Teams Meetings Copilot response can be shared
to external apps (Word or Excel) MC1053653
Published Apr 11, 2025
Microsoft 365 Copilot responses in Microsoft
Teams meetings can be shared to external apps (Word or Excel). Responses
generated by Copilot in Meetings will come with a button to Open in another
app. Although this will start with Word and Excel, more apps will be added in
the future.
The Open in button will show up when:
- A response has more than the set number of characters (1,300),
which will make it long enough to warrant editing in a document. Shorter
responses can always be copied/pasted anywhere outside of Teams, as long
as the meeting policy allows.
- A response has a table, which will allow it to be exported to Excel
if the meeting policy allows.
- Responses will only be able to be exported if the meeting policy
allows copying or exporting of Copilot responses and will respect the
sensitivity label of the meeting (sensitivity labels are available to
Teams Premium customers).

Microsoft Teams: Teams button support on
multiple connected peripheral devices MC1052163
Published Apr 10, 2025
You can now use the Teams button across
personal peripheral devices without having to manually select a specific device
in the Teams devices settings. This provides a more seamless experience
navigating across multiple certified for Microsoft Teams personal peripheral
USB devices (with a wire or a dongle) connected to the same host device (such
as your laptop). For example, you can use the Teams button on headset A to
bring up the meeting pre-join screen, then use the Teams button on headset B to
join the meeting, and then use the Teams button on your connected speakerphone
to raise hand in the meeting, and so on.

Microsoft Teams Premium: New Speaker
Attribution setting for BYOD in CsTeamsAIPolicy (enabled ON by default) MC1052162
Published Apr 10, 2025
NOTE: If you are a Microsoft Teams customer
(not a Microsoft Teams Premium customer), we are sending this message to you
because this new setting will take effect automatically for any user assigned a
Microsoft Teams Premium or Microsoft 365 Copilot license, even if your
organization previously didn't have these licenses. Therefore, we recommend all
organizations review this message, regardless of your organization's current
license status.
Coming soon: We will add a new Microsoft
PowerShell policy setting called SpeakerAttributionBYOD to csTeamsAIPolicy for
Microsoft Teams Premium users. This setting gives IT admins more control over
speaker attribution in BYOD (bring your own device) scenarios. NOTE: This
setting will be enabled by default when the feature rolls out.
This setting allows organizations to manage how
speaker attribution is used in meetings where users join via personal devices,
helping enhance the in-meeting and post-meeting experience with features like
speaker labels (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.) and Microsoft 365 Copilot in shared
spaces (meetings, chat). To access Copilot features, a Microsoft 365 Copilot
license is required.
This message applies to Teams for Windows
desktop and Teams for Mac desktop.

Roadmap ID 488301.
General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will
begin rolling out early June 2025 and expect to complete by mid-June 2025.
Prevent/Fix: Update Microsoft Call Quality
Power BI Connector MC1051099 Published Apr 8, 2025
Potential connection failures with the Call
Quality Power BI connector.
We’ve detected a problem where some customers
are unable to successfully connect to the Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) using
the Microsoft Call Quality Power BI connector due to an outdated connector
file. If you have not updated this connector since September 2023, you may
encounter unexpected errors when trying to connect to CQD in Microsoft Power
BI.
If you don't fix this problem, users in your
organization may be unable to use the Microsoft Call Quality Power BI connector
to analyze Call Quality Dashboard data in Microsoft Power BI.
To fix this problem, please ensure you have
installed the latest version of the Microsoft Call Quality Power BI connector: CQD Power BI Query Templates
