Microsoft Teams now maintains an index of all
of the apps (and the corresponding versions) a user has consented to. Using
this index, an app is automatically updated in real time everywhere it is
installed for the user. After the user updates the app in any one context, the
updated version is available in all other installed contexts, without any other
user action.

Teams in-context Stores MC501986
· Published Jan 25, 2023
The in-context stores are found in menus
throughout the Teams experience that let users discover and install apps that
support the specific context the user is in. For example, when a user opens the
Message extension (ME) in-context store they are shown a selection of apps that
have the ME capability. Discovering apps in the in-context Store keeps users in
their flows and avoids unnecessary context switching.
We have started rolling this out and will complete
rolling out by late March 2023.

Meeting Category Trends and Details in the Viva
Insights App in Teams and Meeting Category Insights Card in Digest Email MC434658
· Published Sep 19, 2022 · Last updated Jan 24, 2023
Updated January 24, 2023: We have updated the
rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
Categories in Outlook and Teams allow users to
easily tag, label, and group calendar events. In the Viva Insights app in
Teams, using meeting category insights in the Effective meetings tab, users can
see a percentage breakdown of how they are distributing their time across their
categories.
An upcoming update to this feature will allow
users to:
See how their meeting time distribution has
changed over the last 3 months, the last 4 weeks, and the next 4 weeks under
meeting trends
View the list of meetings in each category,
with details including meeting name, total time spent, duration of each
instance, and cadence, under meeting details
We are also releasing a new card in the Digest
email from Microsoft Viva that summarizes their meeting category insights. In
this card, users will be able to see up to 3 categories in which they have
spent the most time over the last 4 weeks. This card will show the percentage
of time each category contributed to the user’s total meeting time in the last
4 weeks, as well as how that percentage has changed from the previous 4 weeks.
The explore more button provides an easy way to navigate to meeting category
insights in the Viva Insights app, where users can explore percentage
breakdown, trends, and details.
These features will be available for users who
have a Viva Insights subscription.

Praise in Microsoft Teams is designed to
appreciate the effort that goes into the wide-ranging, collaborative work that
Teams users do. Users can send praise to their colleagues through the messaging
extension pinned to the Teams messaging bar or through the Microsoft Viva Insights
app in Teams. For both, admins can use the Microsoft Teams admin center to
enable/disable Praise.
With updates coming soon, praises received will
be highlighted on a user’s profile card in Teams and Outlook. There are
settings available for users that prevent praise highlights from being visible
on their profile card.
