Microsoft Teams: Meeting Chat shown by
default in Gallery View with Teams Room MC752516 Published Mar 22, 2024
Meeting Chat is shown by default in Teams Room
on Windows in Gallery view, making it easier to see incoming chat messages on
the front-of-room display. IT admins can configure the default chat experience
for a room, and users can make in-meeting changes to show or hide the chat
using the touch console.

Microsoft Teams | Track usage of your
frontline teams and apps in the Teams Admin Center MC752515 Published Mar 22, 2024
Admins will now be able to track usage across
all their frontline locations on a usage dashboard in the Teams Admin Center
located in the Manage Frontline Teams tab. Admins will see a table with usage
data for each of their frontline locations on Microsoft Teams, and usage data
will be shown for more frontline apps such as Walkie Talkie, Shifts, and Tasks.
Admins can filter the table by the locations and date range they want to see
usage data about. Admins can also export this data to a CSV file.

Microsoft Teams: Access Workflows from the

Coming soon: Microsoft Teams will be bringing
Workflows powered by Microsoft Power Automate to the three-dot menu for files
shared in Teams chat or channels.

Microsoft Teams: Pre-pin meeting apps for
users MC748380 Published Mar 20, 2024
Microsoft Teams is now enhancing app setup
policies, allowing admins to pre-pin and pre-install meeting apps for users.
Earlier, the pre-pinning and pre-installation were limited to personal apps and
message extensions. This update extends the functionality to meeting apps.
Admins can set up policies to install and pin meeting apps to provide users
quick and easy access to their necessary meeting tools within Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft Teams: Intelligent message
translation in chats on desktop MC748379 Published Mar 20, 2024
In Microsoft Teams, when you get a message in a
different language, you will see translation suggestions to help you understand
the message. In settings, you can select which languages you do not want to
translate and whether to translate messages automatically.

Microsoft Teams: New Admin control for setting
default storage app for file uploads MC746332 Published Mar 19, 2024
We continue to enhance the Microsoft Teams
platform with deeply integrated experiences and greater admin controls to
enable a seamless collaborative experience for content stored on third-party
cloud platforms. Teams admins will soon be able to change the default storage
app for file uploads in Teams from Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint Online to
a third-party provider of the admin's choice. This setting will only apply when
local files are uploaded using drag-and-drop in Teams chat and channel
conversations.
This setting does not apply to Teams mobile and
these user actions on Teams Desktop:
- Pasted images or media files in Teams chat and channel
conversations
- Files uploaded using the default attach file icon (paper clip)

Microsoft Teams Rooms: Zero-touch
provisioning of new rooms on Windows devices MC746329 Published Mar 19, 2024
To significantly reduce the complexity of
deploying new Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows devices and also improve
security and compliance, we are rolling out zero-touch provisioning in the
Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows app update 4.20.

Microsoft Teams | Report a Problem
integration with Pro Management portal MC746323 Published Mar 19, 2024
When a user in a Microsoft Teams Room reports
an issue, a feedback event is created in the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal.
This event gives managers the data they need to address the feedback or open a
support case with logs from the room. These are the same logs that are created
today; no extra information is added to the logs. This feature is available for
Teams Rooms Pro licensed rooms.
This feature only works for Teams Rooms that
signed in successfully.

Microsoft Teams: Meeting details displayed
on pre-join screen MC746322 Published Mar 19, 2024
Available in Microsoft Teams for Windows and
Mac for in-tenant participants, the meeting pre-join screen will now include
meeting details like the meeting title, scheduled start time, scheduled end
time, and number of participants who have joined the call.

We will be releasing two Out of Box Experience
(OOBE) reports for leaders in the Microsoft Viva Insights app in Microsoft
Teams with the following themes:
- New hire onboarding and integration
- External focus for leaders
Note that leaders are defined as users who have
been assigned the group manager role in Viva Insights and have a span of
control of at least 9 licensed users.
