  • Microsoft Teams – new message center posts:

 

Microsoft Teams | new Teams is now part of Teams Rooms on Microsoft Windows MC738647 Published Mar 14, 2024

The new Microsoft Teams available on Teams Desktop is coming to Microsoft Teams Rooms on Microsoft Windows. With the new Teams app, all Teams Rooms devices can now use the performance gains and optimize available resources for room experience and rendering intelligent audio and video more reliably.

Microsoft Teams | Shared call history for delegates and delegators MC736433 Published Mar 13, 2024

In Microsoft Teams, call delegators and delegates will now be able to see shared call history records for the shared line. Shared call history allows call delegators and delegates to track who made or answered calls and review detailed event history.

Microsoft Teams: Attach recent and relevant files more quickly to chats and channel posts MC734297 Published Mar 12, 2024

In Microsoft Teams, we are excited to bring you Quick attach, which will display your most recent and contextually relevant files when you select the paperclip to attach a file to a Teams chat or channel post. This new feature will save time when attaching files.

This feature is related to MC513664 (Updated) Suggested Files in 1:1 Chats (November 2023).

Targeted Release: We started rolling out mid-February 2024 and expect to complete by late March 2024.

General Availability: Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, and DoD: We will begin rolling out mid-April 2024 and expect to complete by early May 2024.

 

Microsoft Teams: Ability to change language in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows MC734279 Published Mar 12, 2024

With this new feature, end users can change the language of the Microsoft Teams Rooms on the Microsoft Windows app. The language choices offered are the same as those that are offered in the Microsoft Teams desktop app.

Microsoft Viva Learning: Disable LinkedIn Learning premium content MC740508 Published Mar 15, 2024

We are rolling out a feature for admins to turn off LinkedIn Learning premium content in Microsoft Viva Learning for all users in their tenant. (LinkedIn Learning premium content is on by default in Viva Learning for all tenants.)

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late March 2024 and expect to complete by mid-April 2024.

 

Viva Learning | New language settings for admins and users MC740505 Published Mar 15, 2024

Viva Learning is rolling out new language settings so Learning admins and users can personalize Viva Learning with their preferred language.

Available languages setting in the Viva Learning admin page

Knowledge admins / Learning admins can now define a specific set of languages that they support for learning in their tenant in the Available languages setting in Language preferences tab in the Viva Learning admin page. Please refer to Language preferences in Viva Learning | Microsoft Learn for guidelines on choosing supported languages and to learn about the impacted features. We advise minimizing changes to the Available languages setting for an optimal user learning experience.

User Language option in Settings Menu in Viva Learning

Users will be able to personalize Viva Learning by choosing their preferred language in the Viva Learning app settings. User Language settings will show the language options chosen by admins in the Available languages setting in the Viva Learning admin tab. User language settings will persist across all Viva Learning experiences: changes to user language in the Viva Learning Teams app will reflect in Viva Learning for the web and vice versa.

Microsoft Viva Learning | Easily switch across Viva Learning Teams app and Webapp MC740504 Published Mar 15, 2024

Microsoft Viva Learning is available as an application in Microsoft Teams and also as a standalone Webapp accessible via browser. Now, users will be able to easily switch across these surfaces using the Webapp button in Teams app and the Open in Teams option in Webapp.

Microsoft Viva Connections: Advanced analytics MC738643 Published Mar 14, 2024

We are rolling out advanced analytics for Microsoft Viva Connections. The additional features will be available in the existing Viva Connections analytics page, accessible through Viva Connections on desktop or through Settings on the org home site.

Note: Advanced analytics will only be available to organizations with Microsoft Viva Suite or Microsoft Viva Communications and Communities licenses for their users.

Microsoft Viva: Analytics for multiple Connections experiences MC738642 Published Mar 14, 2024

With this rollout, Microsoft Viva Connections analytics will be available at a Connections experience level rather than at a tenant level.

Microsoft Viva Engage: Navigation enhancements MC732105 Published Mar 11, 2024

We're rolling out enhanced navigation for Microsoft Viva Engage. Your valuable feedback pointed out inconsistencies in Viva Engage navigation in Microsoft Teams, integrations with Microsoft Outlook, and Viva Engage for the web, and we listened.

This rollout is for all Viva Engage licensed organizations, but organizations licensed with the Viva Communications and Communities bundle and Viva Suite will see changes to additional modules.

Microsoft Viva Connections app: Search your intranet in Microsoft Teams on iOS and Android tablets MC732104 Published Mar 11, 2024

Note: If your organization does not support iOS and/or Android tablets, you can ignore this message.

We are rolling out a change to Search in the Microsoft Viva Connections (VC) app in Microsoft Teams. iOS and Android tablet users will soon be able to search their intranet in the Viva Connections app in Teams. This feature has been rolling out in a phased manner, starting with iOS and then Android for mobile phones. This rollout is for tablets.
