Teams admin center: App centric management and
changes to app permission policies MC688930
· Published Nov 11, 2023
App centric management introduces new admin
settings to control who in the tenant can install Teams apps. First, admins can
set a default value for new apps that are published to the Teams app store.
Second, admins can manage apps for users, groups, or everyone in the
organization. This feature replaces the existing app permission policies and
provides admins with the ability to manage access to the app individually. The
app permission policies for existing customers are migrated to maintain
existing app availability in the tenant.

Roadmap ID 151829
This feature will gradually roll out across
three major phases.
Phase 1 (from late November 2023 to early February
2024) affects the tenants that use only the Global app permission policy and
have no custom app permission policies. The app status from the permission
policy and tenant settings will be migrated to preserve the admin intent. The
migration will not affect the end users and their ability to use the apps.
Admins may see the Manage apps page in a read-only mode for a short time.
Phase 2 (more details coming soon as a follow up MC
post) affects the tenants that use both global and custom app permission
policies. This phase will let the admin choose to migrate to app centric
management by following a migration process that will change the existing app
permission policies to app assignments in the new app centric model. The admins
will have the choice to modify the apps that are assigned using the custom
permission policies to be accessible to groups, if they want.
Phase 3 (more details coming soon as a follow up MC
post) applies to the tenants that skipped the migration in phase 1 or 2. These
tenants will be migrated automatically in this phase.

Co-organizer experience updates in Teams
Webinars and Townhalls MC688109
· Published Nov 8, 2023
Scheduling, setting up, and managing an event
is not a simple task. Which is why we allow co-organizer to be added to the
event so they can work alongside or on behalf of the organizer. So far
co-organizers were able to set up event theming, manage registration, meeting
options, view reports and more but were not able to edit event details like
title, date/time, description, event group; nor publish or cancel event. Now
they can! Co-organizer can edit event details, publish, and cancel the event
like the organizer can. So once the co-organizer is added they will have full
parity of experience as organizer and control/manage/edit event.

Updated November 7, 2023: We have updated the
rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
Organizers can set up events and effortlessly
add external presenters, who will receive exclusive Teams join links. These
links enable external presenters to directly enter the event, eliminating the
need for organizers to manually admit them from the event lobby or modify their
event role during the session. This creates a hassle-free event experience for
organizers and presenters!
External Presenters are considered people
outside of your organization, including guests (AAD/B2B/non-AAD), federated,
unfederated, and anonymous users (non-AAD).
This feature is available for webinars only. This

(Updated) Non-Native and Hybrid Yammer
Networks are being upgraded MC424414

rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

Events in every Yammer community and simplify file administration through
SharePoint. Most critically, Native Mode supports eDiscovery through the
Microsoft Purview compliance portal, allowing your organization to collaborate
safely and securely within your Yammer network. 90% of Yammer networks are in
Native Mode today, including our top 10 largest networks.
We will begin migrating networks on December
01, 2022 and continue the upgrades through January 2024 (previously
October). The process will begin with smaller networks. If you prefer to
control the timing of your upgrade, you may initiate the process on your own at
any time by visiting the Microsoft 365 Native Mode page within the Network
Admin pages of Yammer.
