Microsoft Teams: Geo filtering for Teams
apps MC525662
· Published Mar 10, 2023
Microsoft Teams App Developers will soon be
able to target applications to select geographies (countries/regions) via
partner center. Developers, at times, build applications that are only relevant
in a few countries or regions for operational reasons or for adhering to
different compliance requirements across countries & regions. Once this
change rolls out, Microsoft Teams app users will only be able to see apps that
are applicable for their country or region.

License Management capabilities for Independent
Software Vendors’ (ISV) SaaS Apps in Microsoft Teams MC525151
· Published Mar 9, 2023
To help streamline the license management
experience, we are now offering ISVs the choice to enable Microsoft Teams
License Management for their transactable SaaS offers at time of publishing,
and for these offers, Teams customers will be able to manage their
subscriptions and assign licenses directly in Teams.
Microsoft Teams License Management for ISV SaaS
offers will be accessible in two ways –
In Teams Client App Store, via the Manage Apps
section, the user can view their app subscription and view/assign and unassign
licenses.
In Teams Admin Center, via the “Manage Apps”
section, Admins can view their Apps and view/assign and unassign licenses. They
can also assign licenses from the Subscriptions list view.
With this feature, Teams Admins and users can
view all their subscription License allocations in one place, to manage
assignments. Assignments can be done for single or multiple users or a team,
with a single click.

(Updated) Virtual Appointment as a new Teams
Meeting Template MC488588
· Published Dec 20, 2022 · Last updated Mar 7, 2023
Updated March 7, 2023: We have updated the
rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
A new Teams Meeting Template, Virtual
Appointment, will be added as a new template type accessible from the 'New
meeting' dropdown menu in the Teams Calendar. This is a free experience that
brings enhanced business-to-consumer meeting features into the lightweight and
familiar Teams scheduling experience. When meeting with someone from outside of
your organization, the Virtual Appointment meeting can be used to ensure the
person you are meeting with has a seamless experience with the meeting from
start to finish - all without having to learn new tools or leave the standard
scheduling flow.
Users can use the Virtual Appointment template
instead of a standard Teams meeting for meetings with external users. They can
select the meeting type, fill out the tailored scheduling form, including
external guests and meeting details, and then send the meeting. The external
guests invited will receive a customized meeting invitation that includes key
appointment details and a quick-join button, which allows users to join the
meeting from anywhere - without downloading Teams - and enter a pre-appointment
waiting room before the meeting begins. This provides a familiar experience to
internal users and makes external user join a seamless experience.

Trunk demoting logic based on SIP Options MC524209
· Published Mar 7, 2023
A new feature based on SIP Options is
introduced for trunk health. When enabled in the gateway configuration (see
Set-CsOnlinePSTNGateway cmdlet and SendSipOptions parameter), the routing logic
for outbound calls demotes trunks that don't send SIP Options periodically
(expected period is one SIP Option sent by the SBC per minute) to the Microsoft
backend. These demoted trunks are put to the end of trunks list available for
the outbound call and are tried last, which potentially decreases the call
setup time.
Autosuggest location for Emergency location MC524208
· Published Mar 7, 2023
This feature would allow users to easily get
location recommendations for emergency location. Confirming the location via
the autosuggest will mark the location as an assist driving emergency call
directly to PSAP. We will still allow manual location confirmations.
