Presented by: Weston Lander & Jun Pak
Session summary:
Every company has ways of working unique to them, so the ability to integrate apps and business processes into where you work and collaborate simply improves the value of your Teams deployment. Learn about the tools we provide for building high quality apps, developing custom solutions with Teams and Power Platform, and how to deploy and manage these app integrations.
My Notes:
There are now hundreds of apps available in Teams, and anyone - developer or not - can bring their own ideas to life in Teams. A lot of development options have been added and improved for Teams.
A demo of a meeting app built by Asana was shown.
App development shortcuts for Teams have been added to Visual Studio.
Teams UI toolkit & library are available.
Power Platform now enables low-code custom solutions to be built in Teams, using Microsoft Dataverse for Teams - a built-in low-code data platform for Teams. Demos of how to build apps with Power Platform followed including how to build a bot using Power Virtual Agents.
Manage apps with trust and ease - simplifications in the Teams admin portal were demonstrated. All the relevant screens in the Teams admin portal were explained: Manage apps, Permission policies, Setup policies and Customize store
