Microsoft Teams: Adjusting the Record a greeting button to reflect Its intended purpose in voicemail settings MC789610 Published May 2, 2024

Microsoft Teams: Efforts are underway to improve the functionality of the Record a greeting button under Voicemail settings. Currently, when users press this button, they are redirected to an IVR menu with multiple options. However, only one of these options is related to greeting recording.

To address this issue, we will be aligning the button's functionality with its intended and official purpose, so that under the Record a greeting button, users will only be able to record their greetings. This change is primarily being made to strengthen data protection, but it will also reduce the number of steps required for end-users to record their greetings.

To find the Record a greeting button, open MS Teams and navigate to Settings > Calls > Manage Voicemail > Record a greeting button.

General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early May 2024 and expect to complete by late May 2024.

General Availability (GCC): We will begin rolling out mid-May 2024 and expect to complete by late June 2024.

Microsoft Viva: Minimum group size update for Copilot Dashboard MC788977 Published Apr 29, 2024

We recently rolled out two changes to the Microsoft Copilot Dashboard in Microsoft Viva Insights:

  • For customers with a Microsoft 365 or Office 365 subscription, the Copilot Dashboard displays tenant-level metrics. With this rollout, we removed the minimum group size requirement for tenant level aggregated metrics. Before this rollout, users could only view tenant-level aggregated metrics with at least 25 active employees.
  • Additionally, for customers with a Viva or a Viva Insights subscription, the Adoption and Impact pages on Copilot dashboard display user-level metrics with the ability to drill down further. These metrics are displayed for groups that meet or exceed the minimum group size set by your Viva Insights administrator. The default value for this threshold is now updated from 25 to 10. In addition, Viva Insights administrator can further configure this threshold with a minimum of 5.

Available now.
