Group Policy Assignment Support for Additional
Policies in Teams Powershell Module MC557818
· Published 19 maj 2023
Microsoft is now extending group policy
assignment support to additional policy types via Teams PowerShell Module
(TPM). Admins can create new groups in Microsoft 365 admin center or can use
existing groups to assign custom policies for various policy types in Teams
PowerShell Module.
As your organization expands, your requirements
become increasingly nuanced and multifaceted. A "one size fits all"
approach is no longer tenable. Therefore, this capability will enable your
organization to have different custom policies for various policy types
assigned to user groups for specific needs. You will not have to rely on global
(org-wide default) policies or direct policy assignments via manual user
selections.
This new update will be available for policies
mentioned in subsequent section by late May 2023 for all Microsoft Teams
commercial licenses.

(Updated) Quick Access Teams and Sharepoint
Document Libraries in win32 backstage MC432475 · Published 16 sep. 2022 · Last updated 16 maj
2023
Updated May 16, 2023: We have updated the
rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.
Currently, users experience some frustration
when using Office products because of all different routes that they must use
to access all their content. The Quick Access feature will allow users to
access shared libraries from both their SharePoint and Teams locations. When
the user opens files from shared libraries, these libraries will show up in the
form of a list which will encourage users to save and open files to these
libraries with ease. This helps deliver a more consistent, coherent storage
location experience across M365 apps. This new backstage experience won’t show
up in Teams, SharePoint, or OneDrive but does include storage locations from
OneDrive and Teams (sites/channels) which are stored on SharePoint.
Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out
late June (previously late April) and expect to complete by late July
(previously late May).
Standard Release: We will begin rolling out
mid-August (previously late June) and expect to complete by mid-September
(previously late July).
New Microsoft Teams Continuous Web Logs Extend
the Window for Troubleshooting MC555189 · Published 15 maj 2023
Debug log files are automatically produced by
the Microsoft Teams client, which can aid in monitoring and troubleshooting
Teams. Also known as “Web logs”, Debug logs have historically been constrained
by a limited memory buffer. If not collected by the user immediately after an
issue occurs, the “signature” of the issue may not be present in the Debug
logs, making it more difficult to resolve recent and future issues.
This is being addressed with Continuous Web
Logs (CWL). With CWL enabled, once the in-memory buffer reaches the limit, log
lines will be saved to a file on user's machine extending the log capturing
window up to one business day for an average user, providing a significantly
larger window for troubleshooting.
CWL is available to all tenants, but currently
disabled by default. Teams' admins are able to turn it on using either of these
methods:
- Assigning TeamsMediaLoggingPolicy via PowerShell cmdlets
- Setting a Feature Flag enableContinuousWebClientLogging to True.
This can be done with assistance from Microsoft. As a temp solution,
{enableContinuousWebClientLogging: true} can be added to hooks.json
locally for the user. This will override the ECS setting for the user and
enable CWL.
Soon, Teams admins will have an additional
option to enable CWL from the Teams admin center.
On June 1, 2023, CWL will become the
default for Teams users with the following desktop system specifications:
- Intel Core i3 and Core i5 (generation 10 or higher), Core i7 and
Core i9 (any generation) excluding the following series: U, Y, G1-G7, UE,
UL, M, QM
- Intel Xeon
- AMD Ryzen 5, 7, 9 and TR models excluding U series
- Apple Silicon (all series of M1 and M2 chips)
Admins may use the methods listed above to
enable CWL for Teams users with lesser system specifications. CWL will not be
enabled by default for all machines to avoid the potential for user impact on
lower-end devices.

Yammer: Bulk Community Member Import for Viva
Engage GA MC557820
· Published 19 maj 2023
As a Viva Engage community manager, one of the
most important and time-consuming tasks is managing members, especially in
large organizations where efficiency matters. If you’re a community manager for
an Engage community in a Native Mode network, we are introducing a feature that
will allow managers to bulk add multiple members to their community using a CSV
file. This will help community managers establish their initial community
membership, bring over members from another community, or migrate from another
community platform. Community managers can add up to 20,000 members and the
upload can take up to 24 hours to process.
