Microsoft Viva Connections: New News feature in
Microsoft Teams MC1020218 Published Feb 28, 2025
We are evolving the Feed experience in
Microsoft Viva Connections for Microsoft Teams. Instead of the Feed, people in
your organization will soon see a Microsoft SharePoint News experience in Viva
Connections, for a fresh new look that simplifies the user experience. Learn
more:
Introducing enterprise news reader
in Viva connections | Microsoft Community Hub
Watch video (14:12 min)
This message is associated with Microsoft 365
Roadmap ID 472018.
This message applies to Viva Connections in
Teams for Windows desktop, Teams for iOS/Android, and Teams for the web, with
this exception: This rollout will also include a Microsoft 365 Copilot-powered
summary experience initially available only in Teams for Windows desktop.
Microsoft 365 Copilot licensed users will have an additional option to generate
a Copilot summary of the top 10 (or fewer) items in a user's News feed. A
Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required to use this summarization feature in the
news feed.
Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out
early March 2025 and expect to complete by mid-March 2025.
General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High,
DoD): We will begin rolling out late March 2025 and expect to complete by
late April 2025.
Due to the nature of rollout technology across
various platforms, some users may see the new experience sooner than others or
in one platform first before the others.
Microsoft Teams:
Record video clips in channels MC1020203
Published Feb 28, 2025
Coming soon:
Users will be able to record video clips in Microsoft Teams channels, just like
users can in Teams chat.
Users can record
themselves, their screen, or audio-only clips and send them in a channel as a
new post or a reply. Recording in channels respects the same Video messages
policy as recording in chat. As an admin, if you have already enabled or
disabled this policy for recording in chat, we will respect it for recording in
channels too.
General
Availability (Worldwide, GCC): Available now, since early 2025.
General
Availability (GCC High, DoD): We will begin rolling out early March 2025 and expect
to complete by mid-March 2025.
Prevent/Fix:
Admins to enable Device Administrator privilege in Microsoft Intune Portal for
Teams Rooms devices MC1020202
Published Feb 28, 2025
For Teams Room
customers who are moving to the Intune Company Portal version 5.0.6152 or above
through firmware updates or app-only updates have to ensure that Device
Administrator (DA) privilege is enabled in their Microsoft Intune Portal.
This has been
called out as a known issue: Known
issues with Teams Rooms on Android
Note: If your
organization does not utilize Teams Room, you can safely disregard this
message.
Discover agents
in Microsoft Copilot iOS/Android MC1019988
Published Feb 28, 2025
The Agent UX,
previously available on Microsoft 365 Copilot desktop and web, is now being
enabled on mobile endpoints. This new feature will allow end-users to discover
installed agents, add new agents, and chat with agents in mobile Copilot on
Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, and the Copilot app (formerly Microsoft 365
app).
General
Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out in mid-March 2025 and expect
to complete by late March 2025.
Microsoft Skype
interoperability with Microsoft Teams will retire MC1019985

Please notify your users about this change, update relevant documentation, and
share information about continuing communication through Teams free
interoperability.

Microsoft Teams: Facilitator agent takes
notes in meetings and chats MC1017117 Published Feb 26, 2025
Coming soon to Microsoft Teams: The Facilitator

happens, including key decisions, actions items, and open questions to resolve.
This message is associated with Microsoft 365

Teams admin center MC1015900 Published Feb 25, 2025
IT Administrators can now monitor the health of
Microsoft Teams desktop clients for Windows and Mac through the new ‘Teams
client health’ page in the Teams admin center.

such as crashes, launch failures, and update failures. It also enables
better monitoring of Teams client version adoption and updates.
